After a first trip in April to Kharkov after which I met some very nice women but no crush, I left at the beginning of June to meet the person who corresponded to me. I had not given up hope, on the contrary I was confident.
And the one who perseveres always ends up being rewarded.
I met Elena on the first day of my arrival with an interpreter (very well) and then we met three times in the week. Our meeting was a no-brainer for her and for me.
On the last day, she told me that she wanted to come and see me in France, meet my daughter, know where I lived and know my friends.
A week later I was welcoming him to the airport and we had a wonderful week.
She asked me if I agreed to come back to see her in Kharkov and I agreed.
We got married in October. Some will say it is rushed. For us this is only the logical continuation of our history. We talk a lot and we speak English. Understanding is more than good and we don’t hesitate to use google translate when one of the two doesn’t understand.
We both listen to each other and discover each other a little more every day. Even if everything we think is so simple and fluid.
Since then we have had a beautiful love story and we have projects in common. We have found our soul mate and we are happy.
