TV reports seen on French TV channels : dating and marrying Ukrainian women with Au Coeur de l’Est matchmaking agency

He went to Kharkov to meet Russian and Ukrainian women much younger than him, he fell in love with a beautiful 40-year-old Ukrainian Vlada, a former Miss Kharkov, and in the end he really fell in love with a another Ukrainian named Natalya. We see the couple Jean-Yves with Natalya a year after their meeting in Ukraine, still inseparable, in preparations for marriage. Meet Fabien, a young driver of heavy goods vehicles from Alsace, and Nicolas, a young manager of laundromats in Provence. Both wishing to find their love in the East, they reveal their daily life, their difficulty in meeting the life partner of their dreams in France, and explain their motivation to meet Russian and Ukrainian women in order to start a family. Fabien and Nicolas take the plunge by signing up to the Au Cœur de l’Est dating agency. They heard about traditional and family values and the beauty of eastern women. They want to find love in Ukraine, because they could not find it in France. They meet the manager Kateryna Baratova (Fabien by Skype, and Nicolas at the agency’s office located in Marseille), explain their cases and their criteria, and work together to select the women they would like to meet. The manager advises them on some profiles of young single people in Kharkov and contacts these women to find out if they are interested in meeting our Fabien and Nicolas.

After having corresponded with several young women from the Au Coeur de l’Est agency for a few weeks, Fabien and Nicolas go to Ukraine to finally meet their correspondents. They discover snowy Kharkov and its old-fashioned charm. Nicolas totally loses his means in front of the one he wanted the most, the beautiful Marina, and their meeting does not turn out to be fruitful: both are shy, the conversation does not stick, and the feeling does not pass. Fabien immediately falls under the spell of his favorite correspondent Olesya who answers him with reciprocity. But he is also attracted and intrigued by another Ukrainian, the mysterious astrologer Ekaterina.

Nicolas is disappointed with his long-heard meeting with Marina, his favorite correspondence. Their meeting was neither moving nor interesting, just the embarrassment and the awkward pauses of silence, despite the beauty of the young Ukrainian woman. Nicolas follows Kateryna’s advice and moves closer to Nadya that he hadn’t especially enjoyed them on their first date, while his thoughts were preoccupied with his impending meeting with Marina. He begins to understand that this enterprising and quick-witted young woman suits him well in terms of character, himself being very shy. As for Fabien and Olesya, their love at first sight is confirmed and they become more and more attached to each other.

Last romantic dinner for the 2 couples, before Fabien and Nicolas leave for France. It’s time to say “goodbye”, and Fabien has trouble managing his emotions. Seeing his love move away, Fabien cannot hold back his tears. He wants to stay with Olesya, but his son is waiting for him in France. The lovers promise to meet again as soon as possible. Nicolas, for his part, feels transformed by this experience and his encounters. He feels like he knows himself better. He is in contact with Marina who is due to come and visit him in France.

Frédéric, a business manager from Paris, signs up for the marriage agency Au Coeur de l’Est because he thinks French women are too demanding. Yet Frédéric himself is a demanding son-in-law, but loneliness weighs heavily on him. With the support of his daughter he decides to make his romantic trip to Kharkov to find a Slavic woman he dreams of.
