Testimony of a couple formed since the war in Ukraine
I signed up for the agency in the heart of the East in March 2024.
I started corresponding with Ukrainian women (with the help of Kateryna and Elena).
After our exchanges, there were video exchanges and I had several meetings, 6 meetings.
All these women I met are great. They are very dignified and educated. All these women have a lot of values, candor. I met them in France, Germany and Greece. Despite everything, the magic had not worked.
And then, I met Nataliia, it was something else, something different that can’t be explained. We didn’t speak the same language: Nataliia didn’t speak French and just a little English. And yet, we understood each other very quickly.
And despite very big doubts about this possibility of uniting, with patience, tolerance and today a lot of reciprocal love, everything is possible… Indeed, there were some conflictual situations between us at the beginning, despite the love between us. And then, over time, our relationship became fluid, complicit and happy. So we make sure that this continues every day and for as long as possible.
Nataliia introduced me to Ukraine and her hometown: despite the war, we traveled to Ukraine several times, to meet her family. I’m learning Ukrainian, and I’m starting to get by a bit. Natallia didn’t ask me for anything, it’s my decision.
We’ve known each other for more than a year, and we’ve both had to evolve to get to where we are today. I have a lot of projects and dreams to accomplish with Nataliia. But we both said, we discuss beforehand, we understand each other and we decide together. Besides, Nataliia has made enormous progress in French!
Kateryna, I thank you for everything and I know what you have done for me. You always asked me for news even after my contract ended. You listened to me a lot and helped me. This is also why I want to keep you informed of developments and I will do so in the future as well. I also thank Elena very much for her translations.
